Oak Cliff Advocate writer Gayla Brooks Kokel is one of the best storytellers of history we know, and judging from the way her articles quickly ascend in our “most read” list each month when the magazine content goes live on our website, it’s clear that readers agree.
She also happens to be a fantastic curator of historical photos, and unfortunately, we often run out of room in the magazine to showcase them.
