Blues, Bandits and BBQ is free and chock full of awesome

A barbecue cook-off, the best buddy flick of all time, loud guitars and homegrown blues are all part of the FREE Blues, Bandits and BBQ this year. Did you hear? FREE, Y’ALL! That includes a Friday-night movie and performances from nine live bands.

There will also be a beer garden, food trucks, fun activities for kiddos and pit masters leading teams such as Notorious P.I.G. and Heavy Metal Cooking Team. A wristband to taste the barbecue costs $20.

The third-annual celebration of all things Oak Cliff, smoked meat and 16-bar takes place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27, at 715 W. Davis.

KM Williams and Trainwreck perform at 2:45 p.m. Saturday.

Also performing are Denton-based rock band The Roomsounds, The Cliff Blues Band, Chris Matthews from Telegraph Canyon, RTB2, The Dallas Family Band and more. Here is the full schedule.

The Texas Theatre presents an outdoor screening of “Bonnie and Clyde” at 9 p.m. Friday. It’s supposed to be around 50 degrees that night. What better gangster movie to watch with a snuggle buddy?
