This weekend: Dog park, Star Trek, Brew Riot

485529_567843989927553_112093714_n“Being Yourself in Business: It’s Your Thing,” is a free workshop from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Kessler Co-Op. Topics include stress-reduction through yoga, trademarking 101, being authentic in business and the dos and don’ts of networking.

The Elmwood Neighborhood Association hosts another pop-up dog park, “elmwoolf,” at Edgefield and Berkley, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.

Sync Yoga & Wellbeing hosts a two-hour class on local and sustainable food called “How to Eat Real Food.” It’s from 1-3 p.m. Saturday and costs $25. Register here.

The Kessler has James McMurtry and Ronnie Fauss Friday, Joan Osborne and Sara Hickman Saturday and Marc Cohn Sunday.

The Texas Theatre is showing the new Star Trek movie.

The fifth-annual Brew Riot is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday in the Bishop Arts District. Tickets to taste some 200 home brewers’ concoctions cost $20. The 1.1-mile beer run costs $35, and runners get into the festival first.
