Around the ‘hood: UNT Dallas, Trinity real estate, Day of the Dead, JFK

University of North Texas at Dallas gave a Q&A about his plans for the campus, which include expanding programs, tuition freezes for good students, residence halls and a student activities center.

Now that the Dawson State Jail is closed, the city is starting to talk about what should be done with that property, which backs up to the Trinity River.

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center offers a Day of the Dead workshop from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Learn to make sugar skulls and skeletons.

The schedule is up for D-link, the Downtown-to-Oak Cliff DART shuttle.
