A BB&T bank branch is under construction on Zang at Beckley. The signs are up, and from the looks of a drive by Thursday, the branch could be opening very soon.
This will be North Carolina-based BB&T’s sixth branch in Dallas and its first on our side of the river. This location is about two blocks from from locally owned Grand Bank of Texas.
I put a few calls into BB&T’s corporate communications office to find out when the branch might open and why the bank chose this location. For some reason, they hung up on my four times, but eventually I left a voicemail.
