This weekend: Night market, Peruvian dance party, burlesque

The Commerce Street Night Market is from 6-10 p.m. Friday at 444 W. Commerce. There’s live music, artisan vendors, food and drinks.

The Texas Theatre shows “Valley of the Dolls” Thursday. “The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert” is Friday. And Texas Burlesque performs Saturday.

The Wild Detectives has a dance party starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday with Los Mosaicos, the Denton-based band that plays Peruvian chicha, which is a lot like cumbia.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff hosts “Vaudeville Night” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. It consists of a variety of unrelated acts, including circus freaks and live music.

Sylvan Thirty hosts an end-of-summer party Sunday. Operation Kindness will be there with adoptable pets, and there will be drinks, treats, live music, games and more.
