El Ranchito’s month-long celebration of Elvis’ birthday begins tonight, Jan. 4, with impersonator David Allen. Call for reservations. Elvis nights continue Jan. 11 with an Elvis impersonation contest. Jan. 18 brings Johnny Lovett and Pablo Ochea with the Fever Band. And Jan. 25 is the last Elvis contest until August.

You know who else was born on Elvis’ birthday? David Bowie. The Texas Theatre celebrates Bowie’s bday Friday and Saturday nights.

Dale Watson and Ray Benson perform at The Kessler Friday, and Little Texas performs Saturday.
