Since the restaurant is celebrating its first Oak Cliff anniversary this weekend, it’s only appropriate to talk a little about its food.

I am not a vegeterian, and have to admit that I don’t really enjoy the texture of faux meat (though Spiral Diner does a better job than most places at pulling this off). But I’ve dined there a few times, and enjoyed pretty much every non-faux meat item on the menu.

My absolute favorite was the coconut limeade (on the menu under "fizzy beverages and other drinks". It’s fresh-squeezed lime juice with a shot of coconut syrup for $1.95. Yum. Next time I go, I’ll try the agave limeade.
