The Cliff Cafe at the Belmont Hotel will be open through the holiday weekend, but will close starting Monday, July 6. The hotel’s parent company, Bunkouse Management, has announced a partnership with Bolsa restaurant owners Chris Zielke and Christopher Jeffers, and local chef Tim Byres, who will develop a new concept in place of the Cliff Cafe. After a "major renovation", according to a Belmont Hotel press release, the venue will open as a new restaurant in September.

Between now and the time the restaurant reopens, BarBelmont will remain open, and guests will be able to dine there and in the hotel lobby. No news yet on details of the new concept; the Belmont says it will announce plans later this summer.
