The Saints are in the Super Bowl, and even if we don’t care, that’s one more reason Mardi Gras Oak Cliff will be extra special this year. Organizer Amy Wallace Cowan says 38 groups have signed up for parade floats this year. That’s a few more than last year. The big parade down Bishop Avenue starts at 2 p.m. Feb. 7 — that’s the same day as the Big Game.
On Saturday, Feb. 6 is the OCarnivale Masquerade Ball, featuring the Rebel Alliance jazz band. The band performed last night at the Kessler Theater. Check out the video from neighbor Jeff Liles.
