Gennie’s peanut-butter pie recipe

I was just thinking about Gennie’s Bishop Grill, which closed in 2005 after 34 years of serving some of the best southern food ever put on a plate.

Dang, I miss that place. So I googled it and came across this recipe for Gennie’s peanut-butter pie.

Now if I can just get someone to make it for me. By the way, that link also includes a video of Gennie’s owner Rosemarie Hudson making her famous chicken fried steak. She is awesome.

Good friends of ours used to eat peanut butter pie at Gennie’s when she was pregnant with her first child. They came up with their own version based on eating it, and made one for me while I was on maternity leave last year. So good! I’ll have to share this one with them and see how it compares.
