Miranda Realty Co. moving to Oak Cliff

Miranda Realty Co. is making moves in Oak Cliff. The commercial real estate company, which has offices at SMU Blvd. and Central Expressway, bought several prominent Oak Cliff properties late last year. And now the company has plans to move south of the Trinity.

Miranda has under contract the building at 614 N. Bishop, which used to be Fusion Advertising. Once the sale closes, they plan to move their offices there, says company owner Mark Miranda.

Miranda acquired several Oak Cliff properties recently:

“We’re getting a lot of interest now from across the river because of the success of Bolsa and others,” Miranda says. “Everything’s moving west along Davis Street, and it’s good for all of Oak Cliff to see that happening.”

Mark Miranda is a great guy. Go Mark! He needs to find a
good architect to help with his buildings. I know one. RD

Great news for Oak Cliff. Mark Miranda and Craig Schenkel have set the standard for outside investors coming to Oak Cliff and making it their home. Not cited in your article are Mark’s hundreds of hours of volunteer service as chairman of the OC Chamber of Commerce. Among locals in the know, a “Miranda Realty” sign appearing on a building is a good thing. Welcome to the ‘hood, Mark & Craig! DS

I forgot to mention some background here: Miranda and his partner, Craig Schenkel, are the ones who redeveloped the shopping center at Bishop and Davis, which is now 100 percent leased with a dentist’s office, Cafe Brazil, Any Time Fitness and the new yoga studio, Tranquilo.
