Newsweek ranks Talented and Gifted No. 1 among public high schools

The nation’s best high school is in Oak Cliff, according to Newsweek. The magazine named the School for the Talented and Gifted at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center as the nation’s top public high school. The Science and Engineering Magnet, also at Townview, ranks No. 4.

Those are the only Dallas high schools in the Newsweek list of the nation’s top 20 high schools. Highland Park High School is No. 36.
