This weekend: poetry, music, Bastille Day

Cliff Notes Prolonged Media’s Poets on X+ open mike night is Friday from 8-10:30 p.m. at Mighty Fine Arts. Binary Sound Machine will perform. It’s free and BYOB.

Oak Cliff band the Happy Bullets has a show at Bryan Street Tavern Friday at 9 p.m.. Tickets are $5.

The Kessler Theater has The Sutcliffes Friday, and on Saturday, Dylan Sneed and the Beaten Sea. Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets are $10.

Save some energy for Wednesday, July 14, which is Bastille Day. Why are we celebrating Bastille Day in Oak Cliff? Because, that’s why.
