Comment on the Oak Cliff streetcar plan Jan. 27 at Methodist

A community meeting to present and discuss plans for a streetcar line from downtown to Oak Cliff is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 in the Hitt Auditorium at Methodist hospital.

The $35 million project to build a streetcar line from Houston Street to Methodist got $23 million in federal stimulus money. To satisfy the government’s requirements (the streetcars are supposed to benefit job creation), the line must be complete by the end of 2013.
