Metro Paws Animal Hospital announced today it has purchased a Fort Worth Avenue property for a new hospital.

The property is at 1007 Folsom, adjacent to the Belmont Hotel. It’s the front half of a 21,000-square-foot lot with the old stone house on it. The entire property was listed at $450,000.

The part of the property where the old house is was not included in the Metro Paws sale, according to the Options Real Estate website. We put a call into Options, which was marketing the property, but we haven’t heard back yet.

This is an expansion for Metro Paws, which has its original location in Lakewood.

Awesome! I used to go to them when I lived on the M Streets and they were great! I’ve been to Vet Stop on Zang but had a bad experience there and have since gone back to a vet on Oak Lawn. This will be so much better!
