Productivity killer: Mother’s Day factoids

Yes, we all know that this Sunday is the day when we all honor our mothers. But, do you know all the facts and figures surrounding the holiday? On which, by the way, Americans spend more than $15 billion on each year.

According to (which I have not bothered the fact-check), the youngest mother in history was 5 years old from Lima, Peru. She gave birth to a 6.5 pound baby via C-section in 1939.

The world’s oldest mother was 63.

The highest number of recorded children born to one woman is 69. She gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets, and 67 of them survived infancy.
