Today is Ray Porter’s 12th day of competition in the Tour Divide, an extremely challenging mountain bike race from Canada to Mexico.

Anyone can keep up with Porter’s progress in the race on the Tour Divide website’s “Live Tracker”. Porter, 54, is cycling an average of 113 miles a day. As of this morning, he was in 31st place out of 68 competitors, and he is on track to pass the 1,400-mile mark today, which means he’s better than halfway to the finish line, at the U.S./Mexico border in New Mexico.
