This weekend: Turkey Trot, Muppets, music

Happy Turkey Day, Advocate readers. We are thankful for you. Here’s what’s up in the ‘hood this weekend.

The YMCA Turkey Trot makes its way through our neighborhood Thursday morning. Runners in the 8-mile race, which starts at 9 a.m., come across the Houston Street Viaduct, up to Beckley and back.

Fair Park Holiday is from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. It’s free.

The Kessler has Carolyn Wonderland Friday and People on Vacation Saturday.

The new Muppet movie opens this weekend, and the Texas Theatre is screening a 35 mm print of the 1984 film “The Muppets Take Manhattan” Thrusday-Sunday.
