Drink wine, help bring water to an impoverished village

Last year, a group of Oak Cliff neighbors decided they wanted to find a way to help people in need, so they started Share the Love Foundation. Its a nonprofit whose mission is to pay for water wells to be drilled in third-world countries.

Their first Wine to Water fundraising event last year raised enough money to drill two wells, one in El Salvador and one in Peru. This year, they hope to raise enough to drill three wells.

This year’s Wine to Water event is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center. Tickets cost $20 and include wine tastings and snacks.
