Kimball plays for consecutive state championship Saturday

The Kimball Knights have a chance at a repeat state title this weekend after beating San Antonio’s Alamo Heights 34-3 in a semifinal game Thursday. Kimball plays Houston’s Jack Yates High School at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for the Texas 4A championship.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that either Kimball or Yates will have won the state title. Kimball won last year, beating La Marque High School in the final game. And Yates won the title in 2009 and 2010.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable’s Texas Channel. That’s Channel 185 in Dallas.
