Oak Cliff son Ray Wylie Hubbard is set to perform his new song about Dallas on “Late Show with David Letterman” Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Hubbard announced on Facebook he would be playing a shorter version of “Mother Blues,” from his new album, “The Grifter’s Hymnal.” The song is named for the bygone club on Lemmon Avenue that drew rock and blues acts in the ’70s.

Hubbard returns to the Kessler Theater on Friday, Feb. 15.
