Wordspace presents author Dagoberto Gilb and the Felix Flores Band in a performance at Bishop Arts Theater Center at 8 tonight, Feb. 28. Tickets cost $20-$50.
Fox and the Bird, whose members including this guy all live in Oak Cliff, performs at the Double Wide Friday, March 1, with Mount Righteous. Tickets cost $7 in advance or $10 at the door.
The Trinity River Levee Run 10k and 5k races are Saturday morning. And Yoga on the Bridge is Saturday afternoon. The bridge will be open to pedestrians until 4 p.m.
Davis Foundry opens “Family Unit” by Artist Elizabeth Hurtado with an artist reception from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, March 2. The show runs through March 30.
The Texas Theatre is screening “Tommy” and a documentary about comedian Eddie Pepitone this weekend.
Mike Doughty of Soul Coughing performs at the Kessler tonight. Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis perform Friday. And Alejandro Escovedo performs Saturday. He told us last year about a family connection to Oak Cliff.
