“Bob Birdnow’s Remarkable Tale of Human Survival and the Transcendence of Self” was written and directed by Eric Steele, who is part of Aviation Cinemas, the team that runs the Texas Theatre and the Oak Cliff Film Festival.

The film won the Ron Tibbett Award for Excellence in Filmmaking.

Two other Texas Theatre/Oak Cliff Film Festival guys also worked on the film: Adam Donaghey of Oak Cliff produced it, and Jason Reimer of Oak Cliff did the music.

“Bob Birdnow” started out as a play that drew much praise from Dallas critics. It screens at the Lone Star Film Festival this weekend.
