LifeWalk raises more than $500,000

1234477_10151875343077631_1229999440_nOak Cliff-based AIDS Arms Inc. set a record last month, raising $512,125 through LifeWalk. It was the first time the nonprofit healthcare provider has surpassed the half-million mark in its signature fundraiser.

LifeWalk team Guys & Dolls, in its 17th year of fundraising, raised more than ever this year, $86,509. Over the years, that team has raised $682,000. The group puts on a garage sale and a silent auction and art show to raise money, along with soliciting donations for walkers.

Other top fundraising teams include: M.A.C. Cosmetics, $28,980; Green Team, $28,002; jcpCares, $23,647; Avita Drugs Pharmacy, $18,435; Team Metro (GDMAF), $18,049; HMS Helps, $17,910; Team HEART, $15,173; Sugarstix, $10,728; and Team Clover, $9,616.
