Four New Year’s Eve events in Oak Cliff

year_of_the_woman_smNew Year’s Eve is a few weeks away, and there is no shortage of extravaganzae in our neighborhood.

The Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts is throwing a New Year’s Eve champagne ball. This fundraiser for Turner House starts with a dessert bar at 9 p.m. There also will be passed hors d’ouerves, wine, bubbles, cocktails, dancing and a breakfast buffet at midnight. Only 125 tickets are available. They cost $62.50 per person.

Starry Night, the Belmont Hotel’s annual party for hotel guests, features a DJ, party favors and a midnight toast.

The Texas Theatre’s party is called “The Year of the Woman.” Zhora, Boan and Jenny Robinson perform, plus DJ sets from Wild in the Street and Ruthie of Blackstone RNGRS. Tickets cost $15-$20.
