Six-foot sign stolen from Sweet 200 salon

The 6-foot, 100-lb. sign bolted to a pole in front of the Sweet 200 salon building at West Davis and Vernon was stolen the night of Dec. 31 or early morning Jan. 1.

Salon owner Annette Jensen says it took a professional sign hanger 45 minutes using a cherry picker to hang the sign last year after it was updated.

A friend gave her the vintage sign when she opened her first salon Downtown about 13 years ago. Last year, she painted the sign herself, had friends help rewire it and then had A-Sign Co. print her logo on the plexiglass. She thinks it could be worth about $3,000.

“But to me it’s everything,” she says. “I’m just sick about it.”
