A Sunset alumnus will attempt it this weekend. Alex Delacruz of Bisons Giving Back, a Sunset High School alumni association, plans to run on a treadmill for 12 continuous hours Saturday in the Bishop Arts District.
The challenge is from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. at Davis and Bishop. Delacruz plans to run 50 miles or more, and there will be giveaways and entertainment.
The event is a fundraiser for Oak Cliff high school students, and all money raised will go to scholarships.
