The most famous Oak Cliff residents are the subject of a book, “Legendary Locals of Oak Cliff,” released last year.
Photos and anecdotes in the book tell the stories of T-Bone Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jerry Rhome, Belita Moreno, Terry Southern, Stephen Tobolowsky and more.
The authors, who include Advocate columnist Gayla Brooks, will be on hand for a book signing and talk at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at the North Oak Cliff Library (where, by the way, Hubbard whiled away many adolescent afternoons).
