The project, funded by grants from the Davis Garden TIF and the North Texas Council of Governments, is expected to include bollards, bike racks, trees, planters and historically accurate streetlights along West Davis and North Clinton.

It’s a little behind schedule. Work had been set to begin this past July, and it would’ve been completed by January. The makeover is expected to set the tone for a $979,000 redo of West Davis sidewalks from Montclair to Zang. That project also is behind schedule — it was supposed to start in 2014 but hasn’t.
