A plan to reconfigure Interstate 35 between Colorado and Interstate 20 is gaining steam.

The Southern Gateway plan calls for converting HOV lanes to toll lanes and widening the roadway from eight to 10 lanes, among other changes.

The Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce is bringing John Nguyen and Stan Hall, from the Texas Department of Transportation to explain the project to neighbors.

The meeting is from 8-9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26 at the chamber. The event is free, but guests are asked to RSVP.

Thank god this was scheduled so that working people could attend. I’d hate to think the city was trying to pull a fast one.

8-9 am at that time I’m sure the attendance will be standing room only
