The Texas Theatre marks the 20-year anniversary of the death of Tejano/pop star Selena with a free screening of the film that immortalized her.
A native of Corpus Christi, Selena was murdered on March 31, 1995. The Texas shows “Selena” at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 29. The free movie is sponsored by the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.
The screening is part of a weekend of Selena events in Oak Cliff, which have yet to be announced. But the Sour Grapes and Faded DeeJays are involved, so we are hoping for a sequel to their party at Country Burger last year.
