Saturday, March 21, is the 50th anniversary of the march, led by Martin Luther King Jr., which protested restrictive voting laws.

State Sen. Royce West, who represents our neighborhood, is organizing the reenactment, at 1 p.m. on the Continental Avenue bridge. Following the march, students will discuss their thoughts on the march from Selma and how they think it impacts our nation today.
