A couple of “meet-the-mayor” events over the past couple of months in our neighborhood were canceled; one due to bad weather and the other … no one is exactly sure why.
But we think this third one might stick.
Mayor Mike Rawlings and at least one of his two opponents are expected to attend a community meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 27 in the Hitt Auditorium at Methodist hospital. The event is sponsored by the East Kessler Park Neighborhood Association, the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League and the Dallas Homeowners League.
The opponents are attorney Marcos Ronquillo, an anti-toll roader whose campaign is fixed on potholes, and Richard Sheridan, who currently is facing two felony charges accusing him of defacing Dallas buildings with anti-LGBT graffiti.
