Episode four of Bar Politics starts at 8 tonight, July 29, at the Foundry. It’s like a hyperlocal version of the Daily Show, and they’ll be talking about the Texas State Legislature.

Good Old War performs at the Kessler Friday, July 31.

Los Patos Poderosos, a Denton-based chicha band, perform at the Wild Detectives starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. I went last year, and it was a big ol’ sweaty dance party. Super fun and free to get in.

The Texas Theatre shows Orson Welles’ “The Third Man” and the film that won Mexico’s Academy Ariel award for best picture in 2014, “Güeros,” all weekend.
