This weekend: Lucky Dog, art, DJ, Dirk Nowitzki

Lucky Dog Books celebrates the grand opening of its new space on West Jefferson this weekend. Poets on X+ features Desmene M. Statum, followed by an open mic, from 8-10 p.m. Friday, July 10. And then author Jeffrey Eaton signs copies of his mystery thriller “Murder Becomes Manhattan” from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, July 11.

Neighborhood, the Bishop Arts boutique, throws and opening reception for “Metamorphosis,” a show from Waxahachie-based artist Bruce Lee Webb, from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, July 11.
