This weekend: Giving day, flamenco fest, Rock the Cliff 5k, trail opening

The Oak Cliff Flamenco Festival kicks off with a performance and film starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Jefferson Tower. The festival, from Julia Alcantara and the Ida y Vuelta Flamenco Dance Company, runs through Sept. 24 and includes events in Oak Cliff and elsewhere.

The Texas Theatre shows “Barbarella” Friday night.

The second-annual Rock the Cliff 5k, benefiting neighborhood high schools, starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lake Cliff Park.

A grand opening for the Trinity Strand Trail, in the Design District, is from 1-4 p.m. Saturday.

The Kessler Theater has Chelsea Wolfe on Sunday.
