This weekend: Play Pride, poets, Charlie Robison, Leon Russell

TeCo Theatrical Productions’ second-annual Play Pride Festival opens with a 7:30 p.m. preview Thursday, Sept. 10. Tickets cost $10 that night and $15 for the remainder of the run.

Poets on X+ returns to Lucky Dog Books Friday, Sept. 11, with music by Heather Hatch starting at 8 p.m., followed by an open mic.

The Weight, featuring former members of The Band and the Levon Helm Band, performs at the Kessler Thursday. Bruce Robison’s Honky Tonk Band performs Friday. And then comedian Pete Holmes performs two shows Saturday.

The Texas Theatre shows “Turbo Kid,” “The Look of Silence,” and “A Poem is a Naked Person.”
