Three people were arrested in connection with the shooting death of Cecil Williams Jr., 44, who was killed in what police called a home invasion. A fourth alleged accomplice, Ashley Ware, 20, is also wanted in connection with the case.
Obra Louis London, 27, Equalyn Donta Davis, 18, and a juvenile suspect who police haven’t named face capital murder charges in connection with the Nov. 5 crime, when Williams was shot and his wife was beaten. The couple’s children were in the home during the assault.
According to Ware’s police warrant, Williams was on the porch when Davis shot him. He fled from the scene, but later died from his injuries, a single gunshot wound.
Davis was later arrested for an unrelated crime and was recorded discussing his part in Williams’ death.
