A briefing on the Grow South economic development plan starts at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21 at the chamber’s building on North Bishop. The event is free, but attendees should RSVP.

The chamber’s annual transportation summit starts at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Hitt Auditorium at Methodist hospital. Tickets cost $15 for chamber members and $20 otherwise.

Speakers include the city’s bicycle transportation manager Jared White, DART president Gary Thomas, North Texas High Speed Rail Commission chairman Bill Meadows and Texas state Rep. Yvonne Davis, who serves on the Texas House Transportation Committee.
