“Sweet Science,” the documentary about Oak Cliff boxers from East Dallas-based filmmaker Chris Howell, shows at the Texas Theatre at 7 p.m. Thursday. Plus there is a whole bunch of other interesting stuff showing this weekend.
Cranksgiving is part bike race, part scavenger hunt, part food drive. It’s free to enter, and teams are given a manifest of grocery stores wherein to buy groceries, which will be donated to the Stewpot. Meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Main Street Garden Park. The Oak Cliff-based owners of Local Hub Bicycle Co. are organizing the event.
