Donor gives $15,000 in guitars to Oak Cliff music school

La Rondalla's advanced guitar ensemble with instructor Kenny Withrow at the Meyerson Sympohny Center earlier this month

The Texas Music Project is donating 15 guitars amps, cases, straps and stands to Oak Cliff-based La Rondalla music education program, a gift valued around $15,000.

La Rondalla, funded by Big Thought, provides free guitar, bass and drum lessons to students ages 7-18 at the Bishop Arts Theatre Center.

The guitars will be presented to La Rondalla at the Bishop Arts Theatre Center at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.
