Construction to begin on Kidd Springs Park aquatics center

Screen Shot 2015-12-17 at 12.16.44 AMConstruction could begin as soon as next year on an aquatics center at Kidd Springs Park.

The city’s recently revised aquatics plan calls for a $4.5 million renovation of the Kidd Springs Park pool, including a six-lane lap pool, an open flume slide, a tot slide and a zero-entry pool among other amenities.

Community meetings to consider what neighbors want for the pool could start next month. They haven’t been scheduled yet, but we will keep you updated.

The new aquatics center at Kidd Springs is expected to open in three and a half years, summer 2019.
