Construction could start next year on the proposed 3.7-mile Chalk Hill Trail through Oak Cliff and West Dallas.
The trail will follow the old Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe railroad path, from Westmoreland at Wright to West Davis at Chalk Hill Road.
