Keyboard Cat, classic internet gold

In these troubling times of political and social uncertainty, we can turn to one thing that brings us all together — internet cats.

The Dallas Video Fest is hosting the Internet Cat Video Festival at the Texas Theatre Aug. 24. Along with cat videos from all over the world, the festival is seeking local submissions. Submit your cat video for consideration by Aug. 12.

You can also submit a picture of your cat at the Dallas Video Fest’s Facebook page using the hashtag #DFWCatVidFest. The one that gets the most likes will win a prize.

The cat video fest is curated by the Walker Art Center of Minneapolis and Will Braden, the creator of those internet cat masterpieces, the “Henri le Chat Noir” videos.

A portion of the proceeds from the Aug. 24 event will go to Operation Kindness.
