Streetcar service will begin running every 20 minutes next week in advance of the Bishop Arts stop opening Saturday, Aug. 27.
The streetcar runs 9:30 a.m.-midnight every day, and beginning Monday, Aug. 15, its two cars will run at 20-minute intervals.
The streetcar extension will have two new stops, one on Zang at Sixth and one on Zang at Seventh.
Its “official” opening is Monday, Aug. 29, but it will be previewed starting at 8:30 a.m. on the 27th, when DART is throwing a community block party in Bishop Arts until about 1 p.m.
When the Bishop Arts stops open, a new shuttle bus will begin operating to serve West Davis and West Jefferson.
