Shooter fires on police at Wynnewood apartments

The Dallas Police Department arrested a man after they say he shot at them from an apartment in Wynnewood.

Police responded to a call of a man trying to break down the door of an apartment around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Zang at Argentina.

Officers had to take cover when the shooter began firing on them from a second story, according to KTVT. One officer shot the suspect, who has not been identified. The suspect was taken to the hospital with injuries but is expected to live. No one else was injured, but one bullet struck a police car.
