Look: 1969 Oak Cliff magazine

We tend to become a little obsessed with eBay this time of year, and some new Oak Cliff ephemera popped up this week.

This 1969 “Oak Cliff ” magazine, published by the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce features a cover story about the construction of Marvin D. Love Freeway, aka Highway 67. We don’t know why there are apparent beauty queens perched atop whatever that machinery is.

The magazine is offered for $40, too rich for my blood. But you can browse the inside pages, which include photos from a golf tournament and a story about Dallas’ “Mr. Aviation,” as well as ads for Wynnewood State Bank and Westcliff Mall.
