No one is saying it’s time to let go of the Christmas spirit, but if you are ready to part with that festooned fir in your living room, there are a few options to make ensure it ends up recycled rather than in a landfill.

Trees set out during Bulk and Brush pick-up weeks will be recycled by the city. To find out when your neighborhood’s pick-up takes place, click here and enter your address.

If waiting for a pick-up is not desirable, through Jan. 6, trees can also be dropped off at either the McCommas Bluff Landfill, 5100 Youngblood Road, or the Northwest Transfer Station, 9500 Harry Hines Blvd.

In either case, make sure the tree is free of baubles and tinsel and other decorations.
