Architectural Digest named Houndstooth Coffee at Sylvan Thirty among its list of the “most-beautiful coffee shops in every state.”
From the magazine:
A soaring ceiling with an accordion effect and an all-white interior (with pops of heather gray) at Houndstooth Coffee’s Sylvan location make the floating island—where all java drinks are made—pop. Painted steel, perforated steel, and quartz lend an urban edge.
Houndstooth and its neighboring cocktail bar, Jettison, also won the AIA Dallas Design Award in 2016. The coffee shop opened at Sylvan Thirty in 2016.
Owner Sean Henry founded Houndstooth in Austin in 2010, but he and his family now live in the Kidd Springs area.
